Tyrone Davis Jr., 35, died after being transported to the hospital following an incident in Gainesville. Police say his death was tragic but not suspicious, and the investigation remains open.
It has been more than a month since the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) responded on December 27, 2025, to reports of an injured man along Archer Road and transported 35-year-old Tyrone Davis Jr. to a hospital, where he later died, according to initial reports.
The Gainesville Police Department described his death as tragic and not suspicious and said the investigation remains open, but the department has not held a press conference or released any further public updates since that initial statement.
Now, Tyrone Davis Jr.’s family, particularly his father’s side, says they are demanding answers after new information emerged showing that a close friend was at the hospital with Tyrone Davis Jr. and his 33-year-old girlfriend, Kiarra Davis, who goes by “Lulu,” on the day of the incident.
Lulu Says Close Friend Was at the Hospital
The public learned about the friend’s involvement through a social media post from Tyrone Davis Jr.’s girlfriend, Lulu. In the post, Lulu said she was at the hospital after the incident and that one of Tyrone Davis Jr.’s close friends was also there as she tried to have him transferred to another hospital. She wrote that she had been looking for help and answers since the day Tyrone Davis Jr. was taken to the hospital.
After that post, the friend, identified as Jason, appeared on a live panel and confirmed that he went to the hospital. Jason said Tyrone Davis Jr.’s mother contacted him, he woke up, and he went to the hospital after learning what had happened. He also rejected claims that he was with the couple on their Christmas cabin getaway or that he witnessed the incident. Jason said he only became involved after Tyrone Davis Jr. was already at the hospital.
