In a shocking case out of Volusia County, Florida, an intended beach rendezvous turned violent when a man was allegedly ambushed by a young woman and her boyfriend.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office received a disturbing report on November 3, 2024.
A “frantic” man flagged down a deputy around 8:30 p.m. on Ocean Shore Boulevard in Ormond-by-the-Sea. He was shirtless, heavily bleeding, and appeared to be in shock as he approached law enforcement.
The man told deputies he had planned to meet with 18-year-old Alana Cagle for a consensual encounter on the sandy shores of Ormond Beach, involving being tied up.
They had arranged for her to pick him up from his home earlier in the evening, driving together to Bicentennial Park before walking to a secluded area of the beach.
As they settled, the victim sensed “odd vibes” from Cagle. Despite his reservations, he allowed her to proceed, watching as she took out a yellow rope and began tying him up.
Moments later, a man, later identified as 24-year-old Wayne Streeter, approached in all black clothes from the shadows, as reported by Click Orlando.
The Brutal Attack Unfolds
As Streeter emerged from the shadows, the alarmed victim attempted to free himself, but Cagle jumped on him, trying to restrain him further.
Despite his initial hesitation, the victim fought back against Cagle, managing to loosen the ropes.
However, Streeter quickly tackled him to the ground, choking him as Cagle caught up, brandishing what appeared to be a hatchet.
She began striking the victim repeatedly, landing punches “all over” his body, as described in the affidavit.
Desperate to escape, the victim broke free again and sprinted along Atlantic Avenue, leaving a trail of blood in his wake.
He waved down a deputy, who responded to his frantic calls for help.
Victim’s Injuries and Evidence Collected
When deputies arrived at the scene, they observed the man’s severe injuries: multiple deep lacerations across his abdomen, knees, shins, and a serious cut on his back.
Paramedics transported him to Advent Health Daytona for emergency medical treatment.
Authorities combed the beach and found crucial evidence, including the yellow rope, blood stains, a T-shirt, and the sheath for a hatchet, all corroborating the victim’s account.
Suspects Apprehended in a Traffic Stop
After securing a description of Cagle’s vehicle, deputies located her car nearby, with Streeter in the passenger seat.
They conducted a traffic stop, finding both suspects and the victim’s backpack inside the vehicle.
The couple was arrested on aggravated battery charges with a deadly weapon and transported to Volusia County Branch Jail.
Arrest Details
Following their arrest, Streeter, in a surprising twist, told the deputy that he and Cagle are a couple who had come to the beach just the two of them.
He claimed he had no idea how the victim ended up there. According to him, he saw the victim push Cagle, which allegedly sparked his decision to jump in and start throwing punches.
Initially, he insisted that no weapons were involved, but while in the patrol car, he admitted he had tried to choke the victim “for her,” as stated in the affidavit.
Both suspects were released on $5,000 bond each, pending a court hearing scheduled for November 26, 2024.
