The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning on Baxley Village Trail, leaving a community devastated and a family grappling with unimaginable loss.

According to Suwanee police, the suspect, 23-year-old Christian Marcus Ware Lessington, drove to the Winds-Clemons residence and opened fire at approximately 2:30 a.m. Authorities say the shooting stemmed from a dispute involving her son, the intended target of the attack.
Nicole, a devoted mother and grandmother, was at home caring for her 8-month-old grandson when the tragedy unfolded. She was struck by the gunfire as she tried to protect her family.
