In the fall semester of 2023, Nutley was employed as a teacher / instructor at St. Xavier High School, a parochial school in Springfield Township.Her role at the school was as supervisor of a program to assist students struggling with academics.
The victim (a male student, age 17 at the time of the offense) had been assigned to the program as part of the schools “multi-tiered system of support” and was working with Nutley on academic matters.It was during this time that Nutley began to have additional contact with the victim outside of school hours.
