Elizabeth Blanchard, a 34-year-old therapist from Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested after being accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy under her care in St. Augustine, Florida. She faces serious charges of sexual abuse.
In late August, law enforcement was notified about an inappropriate relationship between Blanchard and the victim.
The accusations, outlined in court documents, allege that she manipulated her role as a peer support specialist to exploit the teenager emotionally and physically, leading to multiple charges of sexual battery and contributing to a minor’s delinquency.
The Allegations Against Elizabeth Blanchard: Abuse of Trust
First Coast News reports Blanchard had been seeing the victim since June 18.
The court documents reveals unsettling details about Blanchard, alleging that she initiated an inappropriate relationship with the boy through texting, calling, and flirting.
That later “eventually progressed” to Blanchard kissing him, sex, and Blanchard “asking to perform oral sex.“
Initially, the 15-year-old victim attended group counseling sessions at EPIC, but after encountering difficulties during one of these sessions, the format shifted to one-on-one visits.

Compounding the gravity of the situation, the search warrant indicates that detectives uncovered surveillance footage showing the two arriving and entering a room together, adding a troubling layer to the investigation.
News4Jax reported that EPIC swiftly terminated Blanchard, stating their shock and dismay over her actions. It remains unclear if Blanchard has entered a plea.
This violation of professional ethics and legal boundaries raises significant concerns about protecting vulnerable youth within mental health services.

Blanchard reportedly gave the teen money, spending up to $9,000 through Cash App, and also supplied him with vape pens and alcohol, further heightening the severity of her alleged actions.
This pattern of financial and material manipulation points to a calculated effort to create dependency and maintain control, a clear breach of her role as a trusted counselor.

In an official statement, CEO Nangela Pulsfus expressed shock and dismay, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to ethical standards.
