Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, better known as “The Doll” or La Muñeca, is making headlines as a dangerous hitwoman arrested for her alleged role in a string of gang-related murders. The sultry 23-year-old Colombian assassin, notorious for her involvement in the Los de la M gang, is accused of orchestrating violent crimes that have terrorized Santander, including the ambush killing of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus.
What Happened to Deyvy Jesus?
According to reports from Magdalena Medio police, Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez lured her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, into a deadly trap under the guise of resolving a financial dispute. On July 23, in the rural Colombian area of Piedecuesta, Rodriguez reportedly invited Jesus to meet. But instead of reconciliation, the unsuspecting man was gunned down in a brutal ambush. Two men on a motorcycle drove by and riddled him with bullets—a hit allegedly orchestrated by “The Doll” herself, the New York Post reported.

Arrest of Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez and “Gorda Sicaria”
Police captured Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez alongside two alleged accomplices: Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, 24, known by the alias “Gorda Sicaria” (translated as “Fat Hitwoman”), and an individual identified as “Leopoldo.” During the operation, authorities seized high-grade firearms, including a revolver and a 9mm pistol, which are now undergoing ballistic analysis to link them to other recent murders, CBS NEWS reported.

Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, like Rodriguez, is suspected of playing a key role in the Los de la M gang’s violent operations, with intelligence sources identifying her as a rising figure in the criminal underworld. The arrest of “Gorda Sicaria” and “The Doll” is seen as a significant breakthrough in tackling gang-related violence in Santander.
“With the capture of alias La Muñeca and alias Leopoldo, a period of calm has been created in the region. These arrests mark progress in dismantling the criminal structures responsible for the recent homicides,” said Lt. Col. Mauricio Herrera of the Magdalena Medio police.
Police are working to determine if the seized weapons were used in any of the killings linked to Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, or their accomplices, according to local reports.
“The Doll” and the Growing Violence in Santander

Bucaramanga, the capital of Santander, faces a harrowing homicide rate, with a murder reported every three days. This violence highlights the escalating gang wars and personal vendettas plaguing the region. As of the first quarter of this year, police reported 30 murders in the city—an increase from 26 during the same period last year, as reported by The New York Post.
Rodriguez’s arrest, alongside “Gorda Sicaria” and “Leopoldo,” marks a critical turning point in combating the gang violence that has gripped the area. Intelligence sources describe Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez as a key player in the criminal underworld, with her influence extending beyond her role as a hitwoman. She is suspected of leading a small network of assassins that has instilled widespread fear in Bucaramanga and beyond.
Why Is Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez Known as “The Doll”?

Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez earned her alias, "La Muñeca" (translated as “The Doll”), due to her doll-like beauty that belies her violent reputation. Often described as sultry and alluring, her demeanor has added a chilling edge to her notoriety. Video footage of her arrest shows Rodriguez calmly glaring into the camera, a stark contrast to the chaos she is accused of orchestrating.
Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez’s Next Steps

Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, and “Leopoldo” are now in the custody of the Attorney General’s office, awaiting formal charges. Officials have yet to announce the specific charges, but their arrest represents significant progress in dismantling the violent criminal structures that have terrorized Santander.
