After a 10-day manhunt that kept Tennessee on edge, Antonio Jacques Pewitte, a 37-year-old suspect wanted for attempted murder, is now in custody.
U.S. Marshals captured Pewitte in Memphis on October 30, ending a tense search and bringing a sense of relief to the community.

As reported by Fox 13 Memphis, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) revealed that Antonio Jacques Pewitte, also known as “Shade,” has a history of domestic violence and attempted to kill a woman he shares a child with by stabbing her four times in the face and once in the forearm.
The ordeal began on October 19, when Pewitte allegedly waited outside his child’s mom workplace in Bells, Tennessee.
As she approached the building, authorities say he attacked her from behind, stabbing her multiple times in the face and head.
Thankfully, the victim survived and was taken to safety. Her current condition has not been disclosed.
